It’s designed to be an easy, accessible tool for residents of Horsley, Bookham, Cobham, Ripley, and surrounding villages — helping you discover trusted local businesses and services whenever you need them.

The aim is for the platform to be genuinely useful and something you return to regularly.

For local businesses

Local businesses can choose between a basic listing (business name and contact details) or an enhanced listing, which includes additional features such as branding, imagery, extended business information, and direct contact links to help increase visibility and attract customers.

Enhanced listings are currently offered at no cost, as part of a commitment to building a strong, trusted local resource.

Optional paid promotional opportunities may be introduced in the future for businesses who wish to further raise their profile.

We'll be promoting Your Local Hub through various channels to ensure maximum visibility within the community. Our marketing plan has included local noticeboards, social media platforms, WhatsApp groups, adverts in local publications, storefront displays, and collaborations with schools and community organisations.

We also know that residents are sharing it between themselves to help others. I.e. sharing the platform with family, friends, and neighbours etc.

Unlike traditional online directories, Your Local Hub offers unparalleled accessibility and convenience. Users can easily add the link to their phone home screen, so it appears like an app, providing instant access 24/7 at the click of a button, without the need for downloads or logins.

This seamless user experience sets Your Local Hub apart, making it a go-to destination for discovering trusted local businesses, quickly and easily.

How to add to home screen: Open the link in a browser, hit the ‘Share’ icon, then tap ‘Add to Home Screen’.

By providing the service free of charge to the local community we have removed any barriers to them accessing the content.

Since launching on 1st May we have added new categories such as ‘Places To Go’ and ‘Local Events’ providing daily and seasonal inspiration for residents, to keep them returning to the platform again and again.

The content we have on there now is just the beginning and going forward we have lots planned! We’re also very open to feedback and suggestions from the audience about what they’d like to see included.

Your Local Hub uses technology called a Progressive Web App, this is a type of web application that provides users with an app-like experience directly through a web browser, with no need for downloads or logins.

This means Your Local Hub is extremely user friendly, easy to use, and accessible across different devices and platforms.

We will be able to track the number of clicks to category and subcategories. If you'd like to track clicks to your website and can provide a UTM link we can input that so you can track via your own analytics. We can also include bespoke ‘mailto’ links to track email enquiries.

Why are we offering Your Local Hub for free? It's a question we've heard a few times, and the answer is simple: we believe in its value and its potential to make a difference in our community. As busy mums and business owners ourselves, we understand the importance of time-saving support and reliable recommendations. That's why we're committed to providing a platform that serves both consumers and local businesses.

We recognise that many local businesses operate on limited marketing budgets, which is why we' offered a 6 month free launch period, and we are now offering the subscription fee at an affordable price of just £9.99 per month.

This fee will help to cover the costs of maintaining the platform, supporting businesses, and further marketing efforts.

For those with no marketing budget there is also the option for a free basic listing.
